Restoration Images 

Protecting the environment is top priority for Enbridge, and part of that is restoring the land after construction. Our environmental best management construction practices have been responsive to continuously stricter standards. 

The photos below show restoration efforts following one of our recent pipeline projects that took place recently in Wisconsin. This map displays each location in the state.

SA1_Cleanup after2_LOWRES 

After construction crews complete the installation of the pipeline, workers carefully remove materials, debris and any other construction-related objects. (August 27, 2008)

Namekagon River1 

Restoration of this area near the Namekagon River is well developed as of August 15, 2008, but will continue to be monitored to ensure successful regrowth continues.

SA1_Namekagon River3_LOWRES  Restoration of this area near the Namekagon River is progressing well as of August 15, 2008. The replanted native grasses are taking root and sprouting in this wetland area. Grasses will be able to protect topsoil from winter erosion.

SA1_St Croix River1 

By August 18, 2008, grasses and other native vegetation are sprouting near the St. Croix River. Silt fences remain in place through winter months to ensure water flow is protected from erosion. Markers alert passer-bys a pipeline exists underground.
